Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday

Today we begin the celebration of Holy Week, walking with Jesus Christ in the last days of His life on earth. With great love and courage Jesus entered Jerusalem, knowing that it was dangerous. Just as the people came out with palm branches (indicating that they accepted Jesus as the promised Messiah), so we carry palm branches today to welcome and honor Christ. The Entrance Antiphon proclaims: “Blessed are You who have come to us so rich in love and mercy.” May the blessed palms, with which we adorn our homes, remind us to live in a way that welcomes and honors Christ in every moment.
