Saint Joseph

Saint Joseph is one of our most beloved saints. What image comes to mind when you think of Joseph, husband of Mary and foster-father of Jesus? Consider his courage in risking his reputation by taking a young, pregnant woman for his wife. What faith he had to have in trusting God’s revelation to him that Mary’s child was of God! He left family and friends to assure the safety of Mary and Jesus. He loved Mary and Jesus unconditionally, seeking only to provide for them no matter the cost to himself. As a carpenter, he lived an ordinary life in an extraordinary way. And so can we!
